Ludine Pierre

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (CA #9688, TN #4377)

Ludine Pierre LPCC has joined the Groundswell team as one of our Training Facilitators!

She has been an ongoing partner, facilitator, and supporter of Groundswell Community Project since 2021 and we are honored and stoked to have her on our Surf Therapy For Trauma Recovery Facilitator Training Team.

Ludine’s relationship with the ocean began in childhood, sparked by a deep curiosity for anything ocean-related. Her first time on a surfboard ignited a sense of joy and wonder, but for over a decade after that first experience, she was separated from the water. It wasn’t until 2020—after relocating from Tennessee to California—that Ludine picked up a surfboard again and had her first formal surf lesson. A year later, she was introduced to Groundswell Community Project, where she completed their surf therapy facilitator training.

Through that experience, Ludine found a natural integration between the healing power of the ocean and her professional work. As a therapist with over 13 years of experience across all levels of care, Ludine specializes in supporting individuals navigating trauma—including disordered eating, relational and generational trauma, neurodivergence, and identity exploration. Her work is grounded in somatic theory, psychodynamic approaches, mindfulness-based practices, and centers around values and parts work.

Ludine received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (CA #9688, TN #4377), as well as a clinical supervisor at Spaces Therapy. She enjoys helping individuals align more deeply with their values and cultivate connection—with themselves and others—especially when working through the impact of the past on the present. Over the last decade, Ludine has worked across a wide range of settings, including schools, hospitals, treatment centers, universities, and private practice.

In addition to providing psychotherapy, Ludine believes deeply in the power of community and collective healing. She advocates for integrative approaches and offers surf therapy groups to a variety of communities throughout the LA area. Her hope is that individuals come to own their stories with compassion and reconnect with the inner wisdom that already lives within them.

Ludine’s facilitation style is intuitive and relational. Surf therapy has reconnected her with the healing power of play—it’s a space where she can bring together her love of water, her commitment to embodied healing, and her belief in connection as a path to transformation.
